Welcome to BookWorks.
I’m so glad you’re here. This little corner of the internet is where faith, creativity, journals, stories, and everyday life meet on paper. Some pieces are rooted in Scripture. Some are simply made for reflection, memory keeping, or the stories still being written. Either way, I hope you find something here that feels meaningful, useful, and made with heart.
BookWorks by Amanda is a small home-based studio where stories, faith, creativity, and everyday life meet on paper.
Here, handcrafted wire-bound journals are thoughtfully created to hold the things that matter most — prayers, reflections, dreams, memories, sermon notes, quiet thoughts, and the stories still being written.
Many of our creations are rooted in the beauty of the King James Version of Scripture, while others are designed simply to inspire creativity, comfort, and meaningful everyday moments. Whether faith-filled or purely personal, every journal is made with heart, intention, and a love for the written word.
Because at BookWorks, we believe every story deserves a place to be held.

BookWorks by Amanda is a place where stories, journals, faith, creativity, and meaningful words come together. What started as a little corner of my kitchen, creating a meal planner for my family’s use has turned into a universe of journals, workbooks, planners and so much more. What began as a haven for KJV Resources for Ministry and Everyday Living has become a forest of creativity and thought for not only King James Version products but a little something for anyone who travels through.

BookWorks by Amanda uses Mock-Up Graphics of our actual covers on this website on occasion. Why? Most all of our products are made by hand when ordered in my home office. We use Mock-Ups for two reasons, one, because most all of our journals are customizable and that has to be done during the designing before printing. Reason 2, Inventory Control, I simply do not have the inventory space to keep X amount of every journal I design. The mock-ups that we use are 100% the actual cover you will be getting on your handcrafted journal / workbook or item, when you order.
Meet The Maker
Hi, I’m Amanda — the creator behind BookWorks.
What began as a love for journaling, storytelling, and meaningful words slowly grew into a quiet little world of paper, ink, faith, and creativity. BookWorks was created from the belief that words matter — the ones we write, the ones we pray, the ones we hold onto, and the ones still waiting to be discovered.
Each journal, notebook, and creation is thoughtfully designed with heart and intention. Some are rooted in Scripture and reflection, while others are simply made to inspire creativity, comfort, and everyday storytelling. Whether it’s a place for sermon notes, prayers, dreams, memories, or unfinished thoughts, my hope is that every piece feels personal, useful, and quietly meaningful.
When I’m not creating journals, I’m usually writing stories, dreaming up new ideas for the Living Library, or surrounded by stacks of paper and watercolor-covered plans.
Thank you for being here and supporting this little corner of creativity. I truly hope you find something that speaks to your heart.

Short Story Saturday: The Arrival of Paul
For eighteen days, I waited for a crow. Every morning I carried my coffee to the porch, settled into my chair, and looked hopefully toward the feeder. The internet had assured me that if I put out peanuts, provided fresh water, and exercised enough patience, the crows would eventually appear. Eighteen days later, the feeder…

Recently, I decided to become the Food Human for the local crows. Why? Honestly, because I thought it would be cool. This adventure began on Monday, and as of this writing, the official crow visitor count remains at a grand total of ZERO. Apparently crows do not hand out friendship lightly. They observe. They evaluate.…

Summer is the season that has always felt different. The days are longer. The sun shines a little brighter. Children are out of school. Vacations are planned and taken. Even if life does not completely slow down, there is often a sense that we can finally breathe. For many of us, summer becomes a season…

Clara Winters only wanted a quiet night at her kitchen table, stitching handmade journals and trying not to think about everything she lost.
But when a raven lands at her window carrying a torn scrap of paper from her own unwritten journal, Clara is pulled into a strange, enchanted forest—one made of ink, memory, and living stories.
Here, journals don’t just hold words.
They reveal truths, shape destinies, and demand a cost for every confession written inside them.
Guided by a mysterious raven and haunted by a shadow born from her own grief, Clara must navigate a world where unfinished stories become creatures, regrets grow teeth, and the things she never said to her sister have taken on a life of their own.
As Clara opens each magical journal, the forest pushes her deeper into the truths she swore she’d never face… and toward a final, impossible choice:
Face what follows her or let it rewrite her entirely.
